It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow, that Bob’s children, Kelly and Michael announce the passing of their father on March 8, 2026 in Thailand. Bob was predeceased by his parents, William Carroll Edstrom and Mary Kearney Edstrom, his brother Dr. Harry Edstrom and Sandra Holmes Edstrom. He leaves behind with loving memories, his daughter Kelly (Albert) and his son Michael; his grandchildren Rhianna (Josh). Hannah, Joshua, Michael and Mia; his sisters Marjorie Ewers, Colette Barrett, Judy Edstrom and a large circle of relatives and friends in Labrador City and St John’s. Special thanks to his friends in Thailand, for their support to Bob, while he was ill, especially Michael O’Neill and also for Michael’s tremendous support to Bob’s family in Newfoundland. Bob’s remains have returned from Thailand. Funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, April 10, 2026 at the Catholic Church in Labrador City. The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out during this difficult time. As an expression of sympathy donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice in Bob’s memory.
