Obituary of Catherine Saunders

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Catherine Anne Saunders (Hynes) announce her passing on April 16, 2025, surrounded by family, at the Labrador West Health Centre at the age of 66. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are husband Guy; son Joseph Baker; daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Ryan Hedderson; her grandsons, the light of her life, Levon and Halen; brother Brian (Nicole) Hynes; sister Rose (Reg) Brown, Helen (John) Picco, Mary (Dan) Cutler, and Madeline Flynn, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friend. Catherine was predeceased by her father Louis Hynes, mother Lillian Hynes, brothers Pat and Louie Hynes, and sister Linda Hynes. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Catherine's memory. Flowers will also be accepted as a remembrance of Catherine’s love of her garden. We would like to thank the staff of the Labrador West Health Center for the care provided over the past year, and especially during her final days. Special thanks to Dr. Costello, Ronnie Alexander, and Melanie Stagg. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all our family, friends, and coworkers for all the love, support, and meals during the past year. Visitation to take place at Temple’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 6:00-8:00pm. A celebration of life to he held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Carol Curling Club at 6:00pm.
