Obituary of Jean Doffing
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Jean ‘Johnny’ Doffing on February 3, 2025, at the age of 91. He passed peacefully at Tiffany Village, surrounded by friends and family.
Born in Luxembourg in 1933, he lived through WWII before making his way to Canada, where he built a life as a welder. He married the love of his life, Ana Alicia, and together they created a home filled with laughter, music, and stories - especially his own, which he loved to share.
He had a gift for making people laugh and an even greater love for singing. He thrived in the spotlight, always ready with a story, a joke, or a song.
His presence filled every room, and life was never dull with him around.
He is survived by his daughters, Amanda and Jessica (Mitchell), his granddaughter Anazaria, and his family in Luxembourg, Labrador City, St. John’s, and Costa Rica, who will forever cherish his love, laughter, and larger-than-life spirit.
A special thank you to the incredible staff at The Tiffany, whose kindness, care, and support made such a difference in his life. Your compassion brought him comfort, joy, and a sense of home, and we are truly grateful.
A life well-lived, a legacy well-remembered. Rest easy, Johnny.
Visitataion will be held from 2:30-4:00pm on Thursday May 8th 2025 at Temple's Funeral Home.
