Obituary of Stephanie Nellie Shea

Stephanie Nellie (Pearcey) Shea April 17th, 1980 - July 22nd, 2025 It is with broken hearts that we share with you the passing of our beautiful beloved Stephanie Nellie Shea, age 45, at the Labrador West Health Centre, July 22nd, 2025, with her husband Jamie & their two “girls” Roxy & Zoey by her side. To know her was to love her. Stephanie had a smile that lit up every room she entered & the most infectious laugh. She refused to allow her diagnosis to define her & even throughout her most challenging days, she continued to share her smile, her laughter & joy with everyone. You didn’t walk away from time spent with her feeling anything but uplifted, inspired & encouraged. Stephanie believed in hard work & determination & she not only had family & close friends who adored her, she was also highly regarded, well respected & absolutely cherished by her work family at Weir Minerals, where she had been employed since 2018. She was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, niece & friend & she held each of those titles with much pride. Her favorite title was probably that of a beautiful, amazing wife to Jamie & an outstanding mom to her two fur babies, “the girls” Roxy & Zoey. It was no secret the three of them were her world. Her & Jamie married in 2018 & they shared a remarkable love story with a firm foundation of true love & certainly an exuberant amount of laughter. Stephanie never ever fell short of making family & friends the most important to her. She now leaves to mourn, the loves of her life, her husband Jamie Shea & their two fur babies Roxy & Zoey, her parents Harold & Jean Pearcey, sister & brother-in-law Joanne & Chad Loder, brother & sister-in-law Harold Jr & Diane Pearcey, brother Stephen Pearcey & brother-in-law Kent Shea. Nieces Jay Blake (Evan Cooper), Chelsey Maynard (Justin Sainsbury), Scarlett Pollard & great niece Ella. Nephews Brett Loder (Katie Avery), Cody Pearcey & Luke Shea. Also mourning Stephanie’s passing are many other family & friends. Stephanie was predeceased by her mother & father-in-law Rose & Michael Shea, her nephew Wyatt Pearcey, Grandfather William Pearcey, Grandparents Bill & Nellie Paul & Grandparents Warrick & Gertrude Noseworthy. We cannot say thank you enough to the amazing nurses & doctors at our Labrador West Health Centre & to our Oncology Unit, who provided the most compassionate care with each visit, we are so grateful & appreciative. Every Doctor & Nurse at the Health Science in St. John’s provided the same outstanding care & we are no less thankful for them. We Love Her We Grieve Her We Miss Her And so we live our lives to make her proud As per Stephanie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life is being held in Bishops’s Falls, NL, Wednesday July 30th, 11:00 a.m. at the Salvation Army Church. A Labrador celebration of life will take place at a little later date. We thank you all for your love & support at this very difficult time in our lives.
