Thinking of you all at this difficult time. Some of my best childhood memories werr made with the Thompson family. From rides in the red van, to sharing Sunday dinners, skating nights at the arena, life seemed better back then. Your dad was such a gentle soul who looked after all of us like we were his own.

To the Thompson family, I was so saddened to hear of Allen's sudden passing. I have many fond childhood memories of him when he lived in Botwood, and we both attended the Salvation Army Citadel there. I remember him as a very kind and gentle man who took an active role in the church, and together with the love of his life, Sheila, raised four beautiful girls. He was a true Christian man in every sense of the word, and I am certain that he is now resting in the arms of his blessed Savior, whom he loved and served continuously throughout his life here on earth. R.I.P. Allen, and thank you for the wonderful memories. God-speed.

My condolences to the whole family. Allen was a very good man. Love when Sheila, Tina and Paula would do a plate of food would always make sure I had a plate on all occasions. Was always nice to see Allen deliver and have a little chat. So grateful for that, my friend, also for all the gathering’s over the years at Thompson’s home. To my dear sister Sheila and her entire family, my heart is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my amazing brother in law Allen. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you today and for many days to come. Allen was not just a brother in law he was a long time friend that goes back to my teens. My first memory of Allen takes me back to the night that we were heading to Pt Leamington when we managed to flip my 1956 Chev. around and over into the ditch. Lucky no one got hurt except Sheila got hit on the head with a portable radio. Other great memories are of the great family get togethers and amazing meals at their home in Labrador City. Stay strong and cherish your memories.
