Obituary of Maria Ruegg

The family of the late Maria Ruegg wishes to announce her passing on October 4, 2025, at the age of 91 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son, Fred Ruegg (Cindy); granddaughter, Jordan Maria Ruegg and grandson, Eric Alfred Ruegg; sister Elfridea Riffnaller, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Maria was predeceased by her husband Alfred Ruegg. Visitation for Maria took place Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 7:00-9:00 pm. at Temple’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 7:00pm on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Carol United Church. The service will be live streamed from Temple’s Funeral Home Facebook Page As per Maria’s wishes cremation has taken place. Her ashes will return to Ontario with her son, Fred, for a short while. She will return to Labrador for interment with her husband, Alfred, at a later date. As expression of sympathy, friends and family can make a donation to a charity of one’s choice in Maria’s memory. The family would like to thank the ladies of the Carol United Church, and all the fine people of Labrador West, her home for 60 years.
