Obituary of Linda Agnes Abbott

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Linda Abbott announce her passing on November 24, 2025, at the Labrador West Health Center. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Bill; sons Bill (Amy), and Scott; daughter Holly (Randy); grandchildren Will, Tommy, Michael, Olivia, Sophia, Jon and Eric; siblings Marie (Bert), Clyde, Cora (Dave), Garry (Agnes), Ron, Genny (Gerry) and Raymond (Cecila); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Linda was predeceased by her parents Grace and Leo O'Quinn; son Ken; brothers Martin and Francis; sisters Baby Marie, Martha, Theresa and Betty. A special thank you to Dr. Duah and the staff of the Labrador West Health Center - Longterm Care Unit who made her stay as comfortable as humanly possible. Linda worked as a respite worker for much of her life and understood what it was to help and care for others. she had a special love for children growing up on our street and neighbourhood, who as adults today call her "Mom", which she always got a kick out of. Friends and family may visit at Temple's Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00 pm on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at Temple's Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 5th, 2025, at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Labrador City. The service will be live streamed from Temple's Funeral Home for friend and family who are away.
