So sad to hear this news. Our family lived next door to the Stoodley's in Wabush.I remember her as always having a big smile. When my parents relocated to Paradise - Joan and Dave would stay with them sometimes when Dave came to St. John's for medical appointments. My sincere condolences to all her family and friends.

We were so saddened and shocked when we first learned of Joan’s passing. The memories that we shared with Joan and Dave over the years are numbered in the thousands and all will be cherished for an eternity. The most recent happened a few years ago when Dave and Joan dropped by our home in Grand Falls for a visit as they always did when they were on the island. We had a lovely lunch and were totally stuffed and didn’t feel like we needed anything more to eat, but Joan said “Let’s all go to A&W for a lunch !” Dave said “We just finished lunch” But Joan not to be stopped, because she wanted her A&W Of course we all packed up and headed for A&W and had another big feed. That was our Joan, always bubbly and fun to be around. Joan you will always be missed and loved by us Rosie and Cecil May
