Obituary of Michael Gerard Gillingham

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Micheal Gerard Gillingham announce his passing on Monday, March 2nd, 2026, at the Labrador West Health at the age of 74 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters, Cicely (Darwin) and Katherine (Christopher); grandchildren, Matthew (Kourtney), Monique (Adam) and Arianna; great-grandchildren, Willow and Trinity; brothers-in-law, Samuel and Walter; sisters-in-law, Christine (Leman) and Diana (Terry); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Michael was predeceased by his mother Annie Gillingham; Aunt Marie Anderson; wife Caroline Gillingham; in-laws Samuel and Cicely Coombs and sister-in-law Sheila Wells. Visitation for Michael will be held from 7-9pm at Temple's Funeral Home on Friday, March 7th, 2026. Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Basilica in Labrador City. The family would like to send thanks to the nurses and staff of the Labrador West Health Center for the amazing care and compassion that was given during his stay. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Storke Foundation in Michael’s memory. He always had a smile on his face, a joke in his back pocket and a kind and loving heart. He was very proud of his family and loved them all dearly. He will be missed.
