Almost two years after his death, I am here to pass along my condolences. I am the teacher at Stepping Stones Learning Centre in downtown Ottawa. Brendan completed a high school course with me back in 2016, and he connected with me every once in a while when he was motivated to continue his schooling. When walking through downtown, I would bump in to him from time to time, and we'd catch up. I hadn't seen him for a long while, but I still think of him often. I was so sorry to come across his obituary this morning. I am truly sorry for Brendan's family and friends back home in Labrador and here in Ottawa. He was so smart and also really dedicated when he was doing well. I feel like I got to see a really sweet and smart side of him in the classroom.
