Obituary of Louise Andrews

With broken hearts the family of the late Louise Andrews share word of her passing on April 23, 2023 at 78 years old. Louise was predeceased by her adoring husband Roy of 53 years. Left to mourn with loving memories are children Ruth Andrews (Rob Smith), Lorna Thie (Laurens), Lynette Breault (Demond), and Robert Andrews (Jennifer), grandchildren Josh Andrews (Shelby), Aim and Anneke Thie, Holden and Avery Breault, and Isabella and Jacob Andrews, loving sister Bonnie Blagdon, and many extended family members and friends. Louise is the daughter of the late Walter and Tryphena Vokey, and sister of the late Elmore and Elwood Vokey, Ruth Norman, and Pauline Rice. Louise grew up in Baie Verte, Newfoundland, before moving to Labrador City in the late 1960’s. Here, she married Roy and dedicated her life to raising her children. Her greatest joy in life were her cherished grandchildren. Our heartfelt gratitude to Louise’s other family, the staff of Labrador Grenfell Health Long Term Care, who cared for her like she was their own mother. We are forever grateful. Friends may visit Temple’s funeral home on April 27 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00. Funeral will be held at the Carol United Church on April 28, 3:00pm. For those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed on Carol United Church Facebook page. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for the LGH Long Term Care recreation program. “Mother, you left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, although we cannot see you, you’re always at our side.”
