Obituary of Vince Colbert

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Vince Colbert announce his passing at the Labrador West Health Center on May 10th 2023 at the young age of 46. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his fiancee Lynette; mother Mary (Doug); daughters Tiffany (Jay), and Madison; step-sons Taylor, Aaron, and Samual; grandchildren Alonna, Amirah, Thea, and Mabel; brother Adam; sisters Sandra (Lenny); Gina (Gerard); Nicole (Johnny), Amanda (Cameron), Catherine (Chris), and Courtney, nieces & nephews Jacqueline, Felicity, Taylor, Heather, Summer, Kylee, Nicholas, Eric, Tye, and Noah; as well as a large circle of family, friends, and the many co-workers of IOC where he worked for many years. Everyone who knew Vince, knows the caring, kind, and compassionate soul that was lost far too soon. Vince was predeceased by his father Raymond Colbert. Friends and family may visit from 6:00 to 9:00pm at Temple's Funeral Home on Saturday May 27th. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday May 29th at The Catholic Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetural Help with Father Joy officiating. Vince was born in Old Perlican on January 11th, 1977. He then lived the rest of his life in Labrador City, where he built a great life and made many life long friendships that quickly turned to family. Vince was always known for how hard he worked all his life, which aided in his proud life of Harley Davison bikes and Dodge trucks. He never asked anyone for help and he made sure no one went without. He never hesitated to put others needs before his own, and always made light of situations. In retirement he wanted nothing more than a little farm where he and Lynette could watch the grandkids run free. One of the things that made him the happiest in life was the grandkids always putting a smile on his face that couldn't be wiped away. If you thought you could do something, he knew you could! An outstanding son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, great uncle and soulmate. He is forever "Free to Ride".
