Obituary of George William Power

It is with great sadness that the family of the late George W. Power announce his passing on June 24, 2023 at the Labrador West Health Center at the age of 87. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife of 60 years, Kathleen; children Bren (Maureen), Annette, Billy (Sandra), Georgie, Jodine (Shaun); grandchildren Katelynn, Nicole, Emilie, Tyler, Ethan, Ayla; sisters Theresa O'Neill, Mae English; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. George was predeceased by his parents Bridget and William Power, and brother Ambrose Power. Family and friends may visit at Temple's Funeral Home from 6:30-9:00pm on Wednesday, June 28th, 2023. Mass of funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, June 29th, 2023 at Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Labrador City with Father Joy officiating. The eulogy will begin at 1:50pm. Interment to follow at the Labrador City Interfaith Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of the Labrador West Health Center for their excellent care.
