Obituary of Donnette David Turpin

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Donnette Turpin, announce his passing on August 5th, 2023, at Labrador West Heath Centre, At the age of 65. Donnette was born on May 25th, 1958, in St. Lawrence, NL on the Burin Peninsula and left in the late 70’s to move to Labrador City when he met the love of his life, Tammy. They later had 4 boys between 1983 and 1992. Since then he’s had 5 grandkids. He loved his sons and grandkids more than life itself. Donnette had the biggest heart of anyone you’ve ever met. He was heavily involved in soccer, curling, golf and was an avid volunteer firefighter and Deputy Chief with the Labrador City fire department for 31 years. He enjoyed the outdoors life and spent his spare time at his cabin and second home, the mighty Ashuanipi River. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories and broken hearts are his Wife, Tammy Turpin; children Mike(Michelle), Ryan(Dawn), Paul(Monica), and Evan(Abigail); grandchildren Mackenzie, Alexander, Quinn, and Maren; brother Daniel Turpin; sisters Alice Clarke, and Paulette Turpin; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Donnette was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Clara Turpin; grandson Andrew Turpin; in-Laws Richard & Margaret Pittman.
