Obituary of David Frank Dove

It is with great sadness that the family of the late David Dove announce his sudden passing on November 21, 2023, at the age of 70. David was born on September 8th, 1953, in Carter's Cove, NL and moved to Labrador City in 1972. He married the love of his life in June of 1975, and went on to have two girls: Lisa (1978) and Michelle (1982). From there, he was blessed with three beautiful grandchildren; Kiara, Shayne, and Paisley; who were the center of his world. He lived for his girls. David will be remembered as a man of few words but a man with the most generous heart. He made it his mission in life to make each and everyone he met feel loved and special, especially the children. He adored his kids. Whether it was his own children, his grandchildren, his niece, or his nephew. He adored them all and his eyes lit up whenever they were around. Leaving to mourn with the most beautiful everlasting memories and broken hearts are his wife, Margaret Dove; his girls Lisa (Jeff) and Michelle (Colin); his precious grandchildren Kiara, Shayne, and Paisley; and his loveable grand puppies, Drake, Fozzie, & Juno; sisters Yvonne Canning and Katherine Dove; brother Manual Dove; as well as a large circle of nieces & nephews, other relatives, and friends. David was predeceased by his parents Frank & Elsie Dove; baby brother Eugene Dove; and in-laws Michael & Anastasia Carroll. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the Carol United Church in Labrador City, with Pastor Shannon Meade officiating. The service will be live streamed from Temple's Funeral Home facebook page. As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Ministerial Association in lieu of flowers.
