Uncle Howard, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Norma’s passing. I have many wonderful memories of our visits together whether it was home in Stephenville or dropping in Moncton when we lived there to break up your trip either to NL or on way back to Labrador! She loved to shop and always found many treasures and purchased for all. I remember her smile, big blue eyes and pleasant personality. I don’t think she ever got mad! You both complimented each perfectly.
Sadly I too , know all to well of loosing a spouse so please lean on family and friends as we are all here for you . Cherish the love you had for each other and precious memories , as this will comfort you in this difficult journey.
My deepest condolences to you, the girls, her family and friends .
Love ,
Lori

Condolences to Jerry, Joan, Barb, and all the extended family and friends of my friend Norma.
We met in grade five when I moved to Dildo, and we became friends. We graduated together, we attended trade school together and lived together until our lives took us in different directions. Even after many years apart, we never lost touch.
This past summer we had the opportunity to reconnect again, in person, in Labrador City. I am so grateful for that. It was as though we had seen each other every week for the past forty years.
We enjoyed our coffee at Tim’s , while Face Timing Lill, and going to the mall. Not like the old days when we had to walk to the laundromat with our garbage bags full of clothes.
I will always remember all the wonderful, fun times we shared.
I always looked forward to spending time with you when I went to Labrador City, and I was looking forward to doing that for many more years.
You are gone way to soon my friend, but you will never be forgotten.

My sincere condolences to Norma’s Family. I grew up with Norma but our lives took different paths and we drifted apart over the years. It was a couple of years ago that we reconnected and we got to spend some time together reminiscing and reliving our childhood memories. It was like rewinding time. Norma made it all so worthwhile with her genuine warmth and ability to make us feel that connection again. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to spend this time with her and to let her know how much it meant to me. She will be missed but more importantly she will always be remembered by people who loved her.

15 years ago, fresh out of university, I worked at Captain William Jackman for 18 months. I met Norma on one of my first days and I Instantly felt at ease. She just had a way of making you feel important. Since then, it has always amazed me that she has never forgotten my name, my husbands name, or the names of my parents, and has always taken the time to ask about them when we have run into one another at the grocery store or around town. She was so special and I am saddened to hear of her sudden passing.

Gerry, Joan ,Barb and families, we were so sorry to hear of Norma's passing. I have such wonderful memories of Norma when we were young having a laugh at the kitchen table or just hanging out as teenagers. Mom often tells stories of us when we were young and lived next door to each other these often include how we were terrified of "power saws" . Please accept our condolences and may memories of happy times spent together help you through the days ahead. Linda and Alonzo Thorne Mount Pearl

My deepest sympathies go out to Uncle Gerry, Aunt Joan, Nan Barb, and the rest of my family in these difficult times. It was certainly unexpected to hear the news of Aunt Norm’s passing. My heart is broken.
I gladly have many memories of Aunt Norm; who I had given the nickname “Aunt Shoppy” at a young age (due to her love of shopping, that I also share with her). Ranging from the “shopping cart story” to more recent memories of our little chats over text or our phone conversations while I was at Nan’s.
It was a pleasure knowing my Aunt Shoppy; sharing conversation and having laughs from time to time. You will be dearly missed and loved forever.
Sending my thoughts and love to Uncle Gerry, Aunt Joan, Nan Barb and the rest my family; love, Alexandra “Alley”.

Our most heartfelt condolences to all of Norma’s family and friends…her passing is a huge loss. She was a great friend for many years and we shared many laughs and lunches. She was outside the door the night our son was born..he asked me one time when he got older if he had an Aunt Norma. She certainly loved all the kids. Thanks for those memories Norma and for being a friend..wherever you are I hope they have a Winners. ❤️
