Obituary of Roy Andrews

It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Winston Roy Andrews share word of his passing on December 26, 2022 at the age of 82. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his adoring wife of 53 years, Louise, children Ruth Andrews (Rob Smith), Lorna Thie (Laurens), Lynette Breault (Demond) and Robert Andrews (Jennifer), grandchildren Joshua Andrews (Shelby Arnold), Holden and Avery Breault, Aim and Anneke Thie, and Isabella and Jacob Andrews, many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Roy was the loving son of the late Walter and Gladys Andrews, predeceased by his beloved sister Patsy Herrick and many other cherished family members. Roy was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family fiercely. He was dedicated to Christ and was a church organist for 69 years. His love of music was surpassed only by his love for his family. Friends may visit Temple’s Funeral Home on Thursday, December 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 or 7:00 to 9:00. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 3:00 at the Carol United Church, Labrador City. For those unable to attend, the service will be live-streamed at www.carolu.church As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital or to the family for items to be purchased for the Labrador West Health Centre Long Term Care recreation therapy program. “There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains.”
