Obituary of Richard Louvelle

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Richard Louvelle announce his passing on July 28, 2024, at the Labrador West Health Center at the age of 91. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 67 years, Anne Louvelle; children Greg Louvelle, Jody (Julie) Louvelle, Elaine (Dean) Smith (nee Louvelle); grandchildren Jordan (Kassandra), Jake (McKenna), Jillian (Josh), and Kyra (Jordan); great-grandchildren Jett, Aleena, Arizona, Adriana, and Ivy; brothers Jimmy (Diane), Bobby (Elizabeth), Clarence (Sharon); sisters Madonna Young (nee Louvelle), Aggie Schaefer (nee Louvelle), Philomena Buckman (nee Louvelle), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Richard was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Louvelle; grandson Beau Smith; brothers Aloysius, Mike, and Jarvis Louvelle; sister Rita Gaudon (nee Louvelle) Friends and family may visit from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm on Friday August 2, 2024, at Temple’s Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday August 3, 2024, at the Catholic Church in Labrador City with cremation to follow. The funeral service will be live streamed from Temple’s Funeral Home Facebook page. The family would like to thank the nursing staff and Dr. Duah at the Labrador West Health Center for their compassionate care. A special thank you to Rose Webb, Fran and Bill Bell, and Julie Louvelle for going above and beyond during the fire evacuation and helping to get Richard and Anne home. As well, to those who have visited, reached out to the family, provided food and drinks and for all the love that Richard has been given through these difficult times.
